Text-to-self: In this memoir Jeannette Walls burns herself cooking hot dogs for herself(p.9), this connects to me because I almost burned myself trying to cook.
Text-to-text: In this memoir Rex walls told a story about him going A.W.O.L to his kids(p.24), I make a connection to a short story I read in grade 10 it was called a Long Walk to Forever, and it's about a soldier going A.W.O.L just to see his childhood friend.
Text-to-world: In this memoir the Walls family jump from town-to-town because they can't seem to settle down up until they have their dream house, in connection to this memoir most people in the world don't want to stay at the same place or country for the rest of their lives, they break routine and go to pursue their dreams and goals in life.
